Renovating windows 28/10-18

Most old windows can be renovated, even if it takes a little time. Your reward is a beautiful window with a quality that you can’t buy these days.

What is the minimum condition for a window to be worth renovating?

In this one-day course the leader shows you how to renovate windows, step by step. We remove the glass, renovate the frame, replace the putty and look at how to paint it all; we discuss glass quality, colour, putty etc. The course leader will also discuss condensation problems, sealing strips and so on.

Practice and theory are alternated during the day.

The course is held in Swedish.

Course leader

The course leader is Mats Lindström, a window craftsman who runs a building preservation company called Husögat Byggnadsvård in Mölndal. Over the last fifteen years Mats has devoted himself to professional window craft and together with his colleagues he has renovated many windows in flats and houses. Mats is a very skilled window craftsman and much appreciated as a course leader.

Lunch and tea/coffee and cakes are included in the price of the course. Please let us know of any special diet in advance.

Work clothes/tough clothes, possibly gloves and tough shoes. If you have an old window, take it with you and you can practice the different stages on it.
